The Breastfeeding Art Expo – June 2-30, 2017

Full Expo will be from June 2-23, 2017 this will include the Rotary Centre for the Arts and the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art. A partial show will continue at the Rotary Centre for the Arts until June 30th. To see the whole show it is recommended you visit from June 2-23rd.

This First-Time-Ever unique exposition explores breastfeeding. The large Expo includes fifteen innovative community art projects where professional artist networked with community partners and project participants. It also includes almost 70 independent breastfeeding artworks, submitted by artists across the Okanagan, Kootenays and Thompson-Cariboo. Each community and independent art piece is accompanied by touching and memorable stories.
Join a free guided tour for the public, or a tour for school students! Visitors will be able to actively participate through our collage wall to add their own words or pictures. Observe live art drawing of breastfeeding women, view art within art! Keep checking back for a full list of events by May 2017.

The Expo is a collaborative project between Kelowna Community Resources (KCR) and Interior Health. It is funded by the Vancouver Foundation, BC Arts Council, Interior Health, Central Okanagan Foundation, First Nation Health Authority and the Hamber Foundation.
